Welcome to Ruah!

10 Billion Beats for Peace

Coming Sept. 17, 6:30-8:30 pm to the King Street entrance to the state capitol in Madison, WI!

10 Billion Beats for Peace is a plan to circle the earth with a resounding rhythm of unity for all peoples, all faiths, all nations, all hopes and dreams. By joining in celebration with others, we will send a wave of focused intent through every time zone around the globe.

We will start drumming before 7 pm and go until at least 8 pm. Bring a drum or percussion instrument. If you don’t have any, bring some wooden spoons or a couple of sticks… or a bucket… be creative!

Our intention will be to use the act of drumming to spread the wave of peace. Please join us! Invite your friends! Check Facebook (10 Billion Beats for Peace – Madison) for rain location.

Brought to you by Ruah, Elmore Lawson, Goodman Community Center, The Center for Conscious Living, and Friends.

Ruah is…

RUAH is the ancient Hebrew word for “breath” and “spirit”; and the Greek word for “Spirit.”

RUAH is the power of God which brings creative life out of chaos, liberates people, and inspires prophets, sages and poets…

RUAH is the great muse. The force of creativity that is sprinkled throughout time…

RUAH is the special gift of the Creator to the created: That thing which makes us different from all other life forms on this planet…

RUAH is the very breath of God that brings us life.
